Being elegant, being singular... wearing Jimmy Choo shoes.
Jimmy Choo is a famous luxury brand, founded by Choo Yeang Keat, Malaysian Chinese fashion designer. It is known mainly for its shoes collection, thanks to Sex and City series.
Did you try Jimmy
Choo shoes? Oh, yes I tried them. Of course, I didn’t really
believe that if I bought a pair of Jimmy Choo. But when I was in Jimmy Choo
flagship in Milan,
I could not avoid to buy it. I chose Anouk model (see picture) and I
didn’t even bother trying on any others.
They are beautiful, singular, and elegant
but it is important that you have to re-soled before wearing them. "Otherwise,
it’s like going out in the rain without a coat", said my cobbler :).

In controtendenza rispetto ad un anno
televisivo in cui i reality sono stati eclissati, nasce The Perfect Couple che
si propone quale nuova esperienza mediale a metà strada tra il gioco, il
concorso ed il reality in senso stretto, in quanto quest’esperienza, nata da
un’idea del poliedrico Domenico Auriemma,
che da anni lavora nel settore dell’occhialeria glam, ed appassionato di moda e
tendenza, intende investire nella scoperta di nuovi volti da lanciare nel mondo
dello spettacolo.
THE PERFECT COUPLE
nasce come un concorso di bellezza e non solo: l'obiettivo è quello di
selezionare ragazzi e ragazze validi nel mondo dello spettacolo a 360 gradi e
non strettamente "bellocci da posa"… E' un concorso atto alla ricerca
di volti nuovi, talenti da lanciare nel campo del lavoro
sponsoriale/pubblicitario, della fotografia(fotomodelli), della
televisione. I vincitori rappresenteranno non solo il volto DOMENICO
AURIEMMA CREAZIONI per tutta la campagna pubblicitaria 2013-2014, ma
avranno l'opportunità di una prima formazione grazie alla donazione di una
"borsa di studio multidisciplinare".
Il concorso
si articolerà in 4 fasi a partire dal 13 giugno 2013
PRIMA FASE: iscrizione
al concorso e pre-CASTING. 5 LEADER selezioneranno, in 5 location e in accordo
ad un calendario eventi, i ragazzi e le ragazze che secondo i loro criteri
valutativi e in base alla loro esperienza, ritengono più opportuni per andare
avanti in questa esperienza e magari assegnarsi la vittoria…
In
particolare:
Ad ogni
leader sarà assegnato ad una location prestabilita presso la quale svolgerà i
propri casting potendo scegliere fino ad un massimo di 50 concorrenti tra
uomini e donne.
L'eta' max
dei concorrenti deve essere compresa tra i 18 e i 30 anni

ragazza) per ogni leader. Dunque alla fine delle selezioni si saranno formate 5
coppie ognuna capitanata da un leader.
TERZA FASE: LA PREPARAZIONE DEI
FINALISTI E LA DIVISIONE IN SQUADRE DI GIOCO
A questo
punto i finalisti si prepareranno per IL GRAN FINALE:
avranno
una/due settimane per prepararsi al meglio ad affrontare il giudizio
ipercritico dei tecnici della serata finale:
in questa
fase i candidati saranno seguiti da un tecnico del portamento, da un personal
trainer, dal gruppo di parrucchieri affidato...ecc.......
ogni coppia
sarà formata da un ragazzo e una ragazza. I giurati saranno pertanto chiamati a
giudicare le qualità e le doti del duo e non del singolo.
QUARTA FASE: IL GRAN FINALE
Nel gran
finale, i finalisti si sfideranno in squadre per il titolo che vedrà comunque
una solo coppia vincitrice appartenente indifferentemente a qualsiasi squadra (il
regolamento della selezione finale sarà stabilito in itinere).

Norma Kamali talks about sexual objectification
Norma Kamali is American fashion designer. She lives in New York, known for the "sleeping bag" coat, garments made from silk parachutes, and versatile multi-use pieces.
Norma Kamali knows that there's a powerful connection between what a woman wears and how she feels about her body. Norma has always aimed to design clothes that empower women, but she's now going one step further by striving to be a catalyst for social change. Through her short film, Hey Baby, and accompanying website, StopObjectification.com, Norma is instigating conversation about female objectification in everyday life.
In reference to her summer collection, I designed an outfit, highlighting her swimwear. See below and express your opinion.

Women want their Louboutins: I cannot resist the red sole
Christian Louboutin was born in 1964 in Paris. As a child, he was fascinated by ladies’ shoes and by the time he reached his teens, Louboutin was sketching shoe designs in his school books. He received a small amount of training at the Academie Roederer, studying drawing and decorative arts. After travelling for a year in Egypt and India he returned to Paris and produced a design portfolio full of elaborate high heels. Today Christian Louboutin shoes can be found in boutiques worldwide as well as on the catwalks for young highly regarded designers such as Roland Mouret and Rodarte.
Every women would have got a Louboutin!!!

Chan Luu: Combination of Vietnamese and American style.
Chan Luu, known as designer of jewelry and clothing in Los Angeles. She born in Vietnam and studied at the Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles. Her creativity come from Vietnamese and American style.

For my fashion outfit, I have chosen a glittering bracelet by Chan Luu, matching with a dress by Alexander Mc Queen, a shoes and a bag by Christian Laboutin, and scarf by Gucci.

Ai tuoi piedi, per questa estate
Per
molti uomini è un qualcosa di inconcepibile, ma noi donne sappiamo bene che la
nostra femminilità parte dai piedi e dunque scarpe, sandali, stivali,
infradito, zeppe, tacchi a spillo, punte arrotondate fanno parte del nostro
mondo sin dalla primissima adolescenza.
E
per essere sempre trendy, è necessario non perdere mai d’occhio qual è la
tendenza imposta dalla moda del momento e che meglio si coniuga al nostro
guardaroba e alla nostra statura.
Nel
mondo casual spopolano modelli sul genere Converse o simili.
Per
le donne alte (attenzione potete permettervele solo se siete alte e slanciate)
le ballerine lasciano il posto a sandali dal tacco basso e mocassini anche dal
taglio alquanto maschile.
Per
le più estrose, invece, via tacchi alti e stampe colorate, in cui fungono da
protagonista il tacco o la zeppa, anch’essi spesso decorati.
Al via dunque a colori e fantasia, per vivere un’estate da protagonista, distinguendovi da capo a piede!

Alexander McQueen: his style is timeless.
Alexander McQueen had influenced a whole generation of designers. "His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs. At one level he was a master of the fantastic, creating astounding fashion shows that mixed design, technology and performance and on another he was a modern-day genius whose Gothic aesthetic was adopted by women the world over." said Alexandra Shulman, the editor of British Vogue.
McQueen was a four-time winner of the British designer of the year award as well as the international designer of the year award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. He was awarded the CBE in 2003.
He dead at the age of 40 in his London home and I would remember him, showing his elegant black dress. I have combined this dress with hat by Saint Laurent, earnings by Gucci, shoes by Jimmy Choo,and bag by Lanvin.

Fashion becomes yellow!
Yellow is the colour of this summer. I have to say yellow is really not a colour I use but several fashion brands have made new yellow dresses. Today, I have matched the yellow clutch by Miu Miu and yellow shoes by by Nicholas Kirkwood with a silk shirt by Maje and a jeans by YSL.

On 12th May, Italian people celebrate the Mum's day. In this day, everyone thinks a special gift for own mum. Today, I would suggest my wishlist:

Lanvin, the oldest fashion house in Paris
Lanvin, fashion brand, was created by Madame
Jeanne Lanvin in Paris. She was influenced by visual arts such as Edgar
Degas, Auguste Renoir, Eugène Boudin, and Edouard Vuillard. For sever years, this brand was a family affair. In fact, afer Jeanne Lanvin, her daugher, Marie-Blanche was in
charge until 1950. After that, for about three decades, a succession of
designers put their oar in, including Maryll Lanvin, who was chief
designer for several years in the mid-1980s (she was the wife of
Jeanne’s grand-nephew) and Claude Montana, who had a go in the early
1990s.
Then, in 2001 investor group Harmonie S.A., headed by Mrs. Shaw-Lan Wang, bought Lanvin company and hired Alber Elbaz, a gifted and refined designer who had honed his skills at Yves Saint Laurent, Guy Laroche, and Geoffrey Beene. Through many years and many designers, it has stayed true to the vision of its founder, Madame Jeanne Lanvin, always valuing fine craftsmanship and impeccable ornamentation above all else.
